I really enjoyed my session with Steven the other day.  We took advantage of the great outdoors and made some sweet images!  Was nice to be out shooting again.  I do miss it...

Foothill Senior Portrait

Had the chance to work with Jaxon for his senior pics.  I photographed his older siblings and now mom said it was his turn.  Super nice young man and easy to work with.  He wanted to do some shots with his bow and of course I said "heck yeah!  Just don't shoot me."  lol
I added some clouds to add a little impact to the image.

A new beginning...

We have been very busy as of late.  Julia shot her first wedding as a single shooter (and did really well of course) and I have had the pleasure of working with some great high school kids for their senior pics.

Bringing home almost 14 years worth of studio stuff though was a monster job!  We are booking some fun client jobs and making the most of what God has blessed us with!  Change can be good!

Setting a new course...

So we have decided it was time to close our studio location for now.  It was a hard decision, but one we are actually excited about.  We will be shooting on-location for now or in your home if you choose.  Having a really cool studio for years was a dream come true for Julia and I, however with the economy the way it is and the sheer number of other people that have entered this field the choice was really made for us.  I will miss the fun of having our own place to hang our "shingle" but also know that change can be good and can help us to grow both creatively and personally too.  Our hope is that our clients will embrace the new "New Image" and continue to support us in our new venture.  Someday maybe if the cards are right, we will open another studio space and begin again as studio shooters.  Who knows what the future will bring...

Classic Portraits

I love when my clients want to do a classic portrait.  Nothing will be as timeless as this style in the years to come.  Nothing fancy, just great expressions and great tonal values help to make this image a winner!  Jake wanted to get a portrait made with he and his grandpa and I was so happy to help these guys out!  Jake is in the military and is only home for a short while-I can't wait to show them the images form this shoot tomorrow!

Here kitty, kitty...

During this super cute portrait session the family cat decided to join in for some images.  I love the unexpected that sometimes occurs during a kids session!  Just have fun and roll with it!

Senior Portraits

With all this unusually nice weather, senior pics outdoors are still a delight!  we did this session yesterday and got some great shots!  Harrison did a superb job and was very easy to work with.  We talked about the "good ole days" of skiing and snowboarding in November-not at all like this year.  we'll probably get our rain and snow late and into June, but hey, we'll take it1  Thanks Harrison for the great session!
